Dining

Three kitchens, one principle: if it did not arrive this morning, it is not on the plate tonight.

Where to Eat

Three rooms, three moods

All three are open to non-residents. Tables for Marea are released thirty days ahead.

This Week at Marea

A sample menu. The real one is printed at 6am and again at 4pm, depending on the boats.

V = vegetarian · GF = gluten free. Please tell us about allergies when you book — the kitchen writes around them.

The chef's counter at Marea

Six Seats

The chef's counter

Six stools facing the fire, one seating a night, seven courses decided that afternoon.

Chef Aris Cole cooks and serves it himself. There is no printed menu and no choice — which is precisely the point. Wine is paired by the glass from the coastal Spanish and Portuguese end of our list.

  • $145 per person, or $210 with pairings
  • Wednesday to Saturday, 7:30 pm, two and a half hours
  • Dietary requirements accommodated with 48 hours' notice
